Background education/experience

  • A levels.
  • Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy
  • Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy .
  • Member of BACP .
  • I attend regular clinical supervision in accordance with BACP guidelines and ethics.
  • Partake in regular personal and professional training.
  • I worked for the organisation MIND, as a therapist for over 10 years, working with a wide range of clientele, with individual issues.
  • Maintained a private practice for over 15 years, working with adults and young people.
  • Work alongside other related professionals, CPN's, GP's, CAMHS, Crisis Team, Teacher's, Student Support , Local Support etc.
  • Own and regularly update, Child Protection certificates.
  • Attended training for Autism, Asperger's, Highly sensitive person, HSP's. etc.
  • I work in a variety of schools/colleges counselling young people. I have experience working with the child, parents of the child and their teacher's. I work together on helping the needs of the child, whether it be individually, with a parent, with the school or other related services. Reports, information for appropriate referrals, or general support for the whole family, can also be offered after I have assessed the needs of the child.
  • I am also a parent.
